For over two decades, Fountain Baptist Church has stood at the forefront of the fight against human trafficking and gender-based violence. Through our Anti-Trafficking Initiative, the annual Jumping4Justice Double Dutch Revival, and the support of our Joyful Jumpers Ministry, we have raised over $200,000 in the past three years alone. These efforts allow us to expand awareness, advocate for justice, and provide vital services—including mental health support, counseling, safe housing, and rehabilitation—to women and girls worldwide.
Our Audio/Visual Ministry ensures the seamless delivery of worship services and church events through technical expertise in sound, video, and multimedia.
The CHAD (Community Health and Dance) Ministry promotes physical and spiritual well-being through liturgical dance and health-focused activities within the community.

The Evangelism Ministry is dedicated to spreading the Gospel and sharing the love of Christ with the community, both locally and globally, through outreach programs, events, and personal witness, empowering believers to boldly proclaim their faith and make disciples of all nations.
The Eyes of Fountain Ministry captures and preserves the vibrant moments of Fountain Baptist Church through photography and videography, documenting our shared journey of faith and community.
The Fountain Anchors Ministry serves as the official news desk of Fountain Baptist Church, presenting church announcements and information with clarity and professionalism.
The Fountain Fitness Club (FFC) ministry aims to promote holistic wellness by integrating physical fitness with spiritual growth, fostering a supportive community where members can enhance their health, build relationships, and cultivate a deeper connection with God.
Our Global Impact & Justice Ministry is dedicated to promoting social justice, advocating for human rights, and fostering global outreach initiatives, guided by a commitment to equity and compassion, and empowering the community to address a “glocality” of systemic injustices.
With a focus outside the sanctuary doors, our Greeters Ministry extends a warm and welcoming atmosphere to all visitors as soon as they touch the Fountain Baptist Church grounds, fostering a sense of belonging from the moment of arrival.
Founded in 2021, our Joyful Jumpers ministry gives new meaning to “Faith & Works” by using the fun and unifying activity of Double Dutch jump rope to “Jump 4 Justice” and engage the community and fundraise in support of our church’s Missions and mutual aid.
LGBTQIA+ Liberation Labs, made possible through a grant from Pride in the Pews, offers a safe and compassionate space for exploration, conversation, and community-building. Our mission is to foster understanding, embrace diverse identities, and nurture stronger, inclusive relationships in Christ’s love. True to our identity as an ever-evolving family of faith, we encourage compassionate curiosity and courageous conversation. We challenge ourselves to decolonize our consciousness—grounded in the belief that all people are created in God’s image for lives of wholeness and purpose. Guided by the ministry of Jesus, we are called to liberate the world through radical love and inclusion.
The Liberation Immersion Team (LIT, formerly known as the Missionary Ministry) exists to bring fresh joy and renewed purpose to all those we serve. LIT partners with local organizations such as the YMCA in Elizabeth, Apostle House and Isaiah House in Newark and Irvington, Eva’s Village and Oasis House in Paterson, and the Healing Collective, as well as with global partners through the Lott Carey WISE NJ network. Our ministry combines financial support with holistic healing, fanning the flame of hope through steadfast service and faith. Inspired by Leviticus 6:12–13 and the legacy of Eunice and Lois with Timothy, LIT seeks to ignite and sustain the gifts God has planted within our communities, both locally and globally.
Our Manna from Heaven Food Pantry ministry provides essential groceries and support to over 300 families in need each month, fostering a spirit of community and compassion by offering food assistance and promoting spiritual well-being.
Our Marriage Enrichment ministry is dedicated to nurturing and strengthening marriages through faith-based instruction, fostering deeper communication, intimacy, and spiritual growth among couples, and providing a supportive community for couples to flourish in their relationships with God and each other.
Our Men’s Ministry fosters spiritual growth and leadership among men through prayer, worship, and discipleship, empowering them to serve as role models and leaders in their families and the community, guided by biblical principles and a commitment to Christ.
Our Music Ministry enriches worship services and church events through diverse musical expressions, fostering spiritual connection and praise.
Our Networking Ministry connects individuals within and beyond Fountain Baptist Church, facilitating fellowship, resource sharing, and exploration of employment opportunities.
Our New Members Ministry welcomes and integrates new members into the Fountain Baptist Church family, providing guidance and information to foster a sense of belonging and participation.
Our Nursery & Children’s Church ministry provides a safe, nurturing, and loving environment for infants and toddlers during church services, allowing parents to fully participate in worship and ministry.
Our Scholarship Ministry supports the educational aspirations of Fountain Baptist Church by providing financial assistance and resources to our youth for academic pursuits. Fountain also holds the distinction of being the longest and highest-giving church or faith institution to the United Negro College Fund (UNCF).

Our Seniors Ministry provides fellowship, support, and engaging activities for the senior members of Fountain Baptist Church, fostering spiritual growth and community connection.
Our Singles Ministry provides a supportive community for single adults at Fountain Baptist Church, fostering fellowship, spiritual growth, and personal development.
For over 30 years, our Criminal Justice Ministry has impacted the lives of thousands of incarcerated persons, returning citizens, and their families. We have supported individuals at Northern State, Edna Mahan, and East Jersey State Correctional Facilities, and met material and spiritual needs at reentry and transitional homes across the region. Our Angel Tree program has grown from serving dozens of children to hundreds of justice-impacted youth annually. In 2024, we distributed 500 backpacks filled with essentials to children of justice-impacted individuals, hundreds more to returning citizens, made Valentine’s Day cards for 200 incarcerated youth, and donated hundreds of clothing items.
Most recently, during Resurrection Weekend 2025, with the support of a Lilly Endowment-funded grant through the Louisville Institute, we launched our “Dialogues with the Disinherited: Disrupting the Playground to Prison Pipeline” podcast series to bring the lived experiences of justice-impacted people to the forefront as they champion their own probation, prison, parole, and post-release stories of trial and triumph.

Furthering Christ’s message to minister to others in need around the world, our Kenya Mission provides vital resources to enhance the lives of our impoverished siblings in Kenya, support adopted children, and those affected by HIV/AIDS.
Our Liberation Immersions are annual mission trips abroad that foster and facilitate cultural exchange, service-learning opportunities, enriching excursions, and solidarity with our “global majority” siblings. Our 2024 mission was to Cuba. Our 2025 mission will be to Kenya.
Lott Carey is a multicultural, ecumenical, global Christian missional community born of African-American Baptist heritage, that provides prayer partnership, financial support, and technical assistance to indigenous communities around the world who engage in ministries of evangelism, compassion, empowerment, and advocacy. In 2006, Fountain raised a record-setting $1 million within a year, to give to Lott Carey for Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. Today, we continue to maintain our status among the Top 3 giving churches to the Lott Carey mission.
In 1998, Fountain donated $300K to the Baptist Convention of South Africa to purchase its headquarters in Johannesburg, which they named The Fountain Baptist House.
