Our Ministries

To love God and to love others.

Networking Ministry

Our Networking Ministry connects individuals within and beyond Fountain Baptist Church, facilitating fellowship, resource sharing, and exploration of employment opportunities.

Liberation Immersion Team (LIT)

The Liberation Immersion Team (LIT, formerly known as the Missionary Ministry) exists to bring fresh joy and renewed purpose to all those we serve. LIT partners with local organizations such as the YMCA in Elizabeth, Apostle House and Isaiah House in Newark and Irvington, Eva’s Village and Oasis House in Paterson, and the Healing Collective, as well as with global partners through the Lott Carey WISE NJ network. Our ministry combines financial support with holistic healing, fanning the flame of hope through steadfast service and faith. Inspired by Leviticus 6:12–13 and the legacy of Eunice and Lois with Timothy, LIT seeks to ignite and sustain the gifts God has planted within our communities, both locally and globally.

Social & Criminal Justice Ministry

For over 30 years, our Criminal Justice Ministry has impacted the lives of thousands of incarcerated persons, returning citizens, and their families. We have supported individuals at Northern State, Edna Mahan, and East Jersey State Correctional Facilities, and met material and spiritual needs at reentry and transitional homes across the region. Our Angel Tree program has grown from serving dozens of children to hundreds of justice-impacted youth annually. In 2024, we distributed 500 backpacks filled with essentials to children of justice-impacted individuals, hundreds more to returning citizens, made Valentine’s Day cards for 200 incarcerated youth, and donated hundreds of clothing items.

Most recently, during Resurrection Weekend 2025, with the support of a Lilly Endowment-funded grant through the Louisville Institute, we launched our “Dialogues with the Disinherited: Disrupting the Playground to Prison Pipeline” podcast series to bring the lived experiences of justice-impacted people to the forefront as they champion their own probation, prison, parole, and post-release stories of trial and triumph.
